What's more, those of you that are tuning in, I truly value your participation. I really perceive a couple of these names. So Im going to anticipate that you should take an interest, since I would prefer not to get down on you about national web. In any case, I trust this can turn out to be intelligent, and we can share a great deal of thoughts together today. As we referenced, were discussing how an obtaining in the experience economy. I thought of this theme forever and a day prior. I came about a book by Gilmore and Pine, which Marriott Corporation was utilizing as the spine for their client care and their client support practice. I was talking with Marriott, so I needed to peruse the book. I needed to gain proficiency with somewhat progressively about what they were do ing. Also, I start to think, Oh my gosh, this has application for everybody. Furthermore, as an outsider selection representative all my vocation, we started to utilize that material inside in my own association and to have the option to converse with our client. In addition to the fact that we talked inside, yet we started to turn this out and take it the nation over at industry affiliation gatherings and such a thing. Not really the nation over, I appear to recall that we went to Columbus, Ohio and New Orleans. Be that as it may, all things considered, we were discussing it however from a place of an enrollment specialist especially an outsider selection representative and the experience that customer, that paying client, had with the scout. And afterward out of nowhere, the entire thought of the applicant experience became something truly cool to discuss. So we started to investigate these thoughts and do somewhat more research and contort the thought a tad, to consider the up-an d-comer and their experience. In doing the exploration, we discovered a ton of work that was finished by Gerry Crispin on CareerXroads, and afterward the ability board and their entire up-and-comer experience .organization association. So caps off to them, since we owe a great deal of todays substance to them and a portion of the work that theyve done previously. Not long before we get into the meat of the introduction, Ill reveal to you that today were going to discuss the thoughts set forth in Gilmore and Pines book, The Experienced Economy: Work is Theater and Every Business is a Stage. Well utilize those plans to outline a conversation on the applicant experience. Would investigate the applicant experience today, and sort of challenge ourselves to enhance the condition of that experience, as its been accounted for by competitors. Well end our conversation by underscoring exactly how significant this thought is to our organizations. Competitor experience has immense effect, not just on our capacity to get the correct ability when we need them, yet it likewise has further arriving at sway on the achievement and the wellbeing of our organizations. So let me simply spare you a smidgen of exertion and from digging further into the subtleties of the book, since I need to state this the book is great. I solidly put stock in each thought that they set forward. In any case, to be a book about how encounters are significant, it was an incredibly, comical experience to peruse the book. Not extremely energizing perusing, lets simply set it that way. In any case, in the book, Pine and Gilmore, they portrayed the experience economy as the following economy that follows the administration economy. To start with, we had the agrarian economy and afterward the mechanical economy, at that point the administration economy. Also, presently what they have named the experience economy. Theyre contending that organizations need to coordinate essential minutes, vital occasions for their clients and that memory itself that turns into the item. Its the experience. This is maybe why we just dont eat in a café any longer. We need to go sit in a Rainforest or in a Hard Rock historical center. We dont simply search for outdoor supplies in the neighborhood store, we go to Gander Mountain, we go to Bass Pro Shops, and we go to REI and really climb a mountain. We dont simply prefer to go sit in a cinema any longer, we request that we go to an IMAX or a 3DX theater. This is additionally why church doesnt appear as though what church resembled when I was growing up. Presently places of worship resemble a show with a light show and only a full theater creation. So just to pause for a moment and dive into the book. Were going to talk a tad about that movement of financial worth, and what it intends to organizations in each phase of that movement. Farming products, those structure the premise of that agrarian economy, which extremely just gave us help level of presence. The apex of the agrarian economy was about the eighteenth century in the United States. Also, around then, more than about 80% of the workforce was utilized on ranch. Today, less tha

The Easiest Employee Referral Software I Have Seen - Workology

The Easiest Employee Referral Software I Have Seen Erin: The Easiest Employee Referral Software I Have Seen I have evaluated many software platforms over the years and I really only like to write about the ones that I feel would appeal to the general HR/Recruiting world.   I am not the hope and dreams crusher so to speak and like to bring what I believe is true values add a tool to the table.  I believe that this is one of those tools, let me explain what I mean. At the recent convention I spoke at and Emceed I was really shackled by my job duties to get to spend time with the vendors. Actually, when I did a quick pass through there really were not many tools I had not seen before or that I was interested in. My pal Garrick was invited to a meet up with Intuit and asked them if I could tag along.   After a few minutes of chatting in came three gentlemen and sat beside us. Turns out they were invited as well and they were a young startup. After pleasant conversation and snacks, we sort of broke into separate conversations. They told me about the software, what it did, and what separated them in their opinion from the rest of the market.   Erin: The Easiest Employee Referral Software I Have Seen Now, sure referrals are not sourcing, I get that but sure is a hell of a way to get warm leads you don’t have to write fancy strings or scrape websites. Nope let me go over the features with you:   All open positions are accessible via a mobile app with the amount of the referral and a GUI button     It is very simple and totally user-friendly, unlike most ATS systems, the flow is perfect All the employee has to do is text the referral with a message The referral then applies through their phone to the role It is a mobile platform that goes into you ATS automatically The referral is then moved to candidate status and tracked as such with the employee Done, and done. Now what I love about this tool is the ease for the employee and for the candidate. They also, both know that whoever the recruiter is they are not blindly sending in a resume to the proverbial black hole. Let’s look at a scenario:   Jessica is hanging out at the old pub that she used to go to with coworkers from her old job. When she sees a few of her old coworkers come through the door seeing her and smiling and waving. They get a table and reminisce about better times when she was with the company and a few say, “yeah we are looking quietly but it is hard to get into some of the companies we would want to work for, you know, like yours.”   Jessica smiles and knowing what her friends are capable of she tells them that she is going to text them roles they can apply for and they will be marked as referrals and should get to the top of the list for the positions. They sit there, like everyone does these days, and push buttons on their phones.   Its not magic or rocket science that what should happen next is win-win for everyone all based on the team of Erin their simple software. Jobs are filled employees are paid and happy. Both are on the road to retention pretty quickly.   I mean it really cannot get any really easier than this. Check them out at https://erinapp.com get a demo and tell them Derek sent you! I don’t get a dime from them I just like solid tech in our sector! Happy hunting anyway you can. #truestory

Give a little why you should volunteer this Christmas

Give a little why you should chip in this Christmas Give a bit: why you should chip in this ChristmasPosted November 13, 2013, by Julia Watters Tis the season for giving and I dont simply mean the benevolent you go scavenging under the Christmas tree for. Of course, providing for a noble cause in the money related sense can go towards much required assets, yet whats considerably progressively important is time your time. We addressed some Christmas heavenly attendants who sacrificially give their time and exertion every December for those less lucky than themselves. Show preemptive kindness Lisa Cox was 24 when she was hospitalized for longer than a year, remaining ward-bound over the Christmas time frame. What Lisa acknowledged more than anything was the exertion her loved ones went to guarantee that she never felt alone, particularly over the happy season yet it didnt go unnoticed by Lisa that others werent as fortunate. Thus, every Christmas morning Lisa now returns to the emergency clinic ward she called home for such a long time to bring some seasonal happiness to the individuals who cannot be at home with their families. I think I have an ethical duty to show proactive kindness, in a manner of speaking. Making a more odd grin holds more an incentive to me than materialistic endowments. It sounds clichd however I wouldnt have been doing this such a large number of years straight on the off chance that I didnt have confidence in it. Spreading the cheer The chipping in circumstances around the bubbly season reach past the dividers of a ward, with associations running projects from nearby network to national level. Individuals like volunteer Narelle Lee benefit as much as possible from these generous open doors by offering their time through a scope of such projects, for example, conveying hampers to families out of luck. I cannot suggest accomplishing something for another person exceptionally enough and would urge everybody to check out their networks to see exactly how they can help have any kind of effect. This year, with the effect of the flames there will be significantly more chances to have any kind of effect, however it isn't only Christmas there is something that should be possible lasting through the year, says Lee. Dont simply do-little People are by all account not the only ones who merit our liberality at Christmas time. Every year, the RSPCA has a yearly intrigue requesting that individuals rethink purchasing Christmas little dogs and cats, which regularly bring about a high extent of undesirable creatures being dumped at their entryway when the merriments are finished. Truth be told, they gauge that more than 13,500 creatures will enter their consideration from November through to January this year. Debra Borland from Animal Aid, a not-revenue driven creature government assistance cover in Victoria, is very acquainted with this cycle. Their creature covers should be kept an eye on consistently to guarantee the wellbeing and prosperity of the creatures they take in is kept up creatures despite everything should be taken care of, cleaned and thought about as all of us eat, drink and make cheerful. Debra is appreciative for the volunteers who liberally surrender a couple of hours over Christmas and Boxing Day to stay with the creatures and ensure they dont do without. Volunteers are the backbone of Animal Aid we are so obligated to the extraordinary people who surrender some portion of their Christmas day to ensure that creatures who arent sufficiently fortunate to have a family to impart it to get all the adoration and consideration they merit, says Borland. So paying little heed to how you need to get included this Christmas, there is a chipping in chance to suit your inclinations and accessibility. Why not give your time these occasions it wont cost you a penny, and it will mean the world to those you help. Chipping in circumstances Go Volunteer Volunteering Australia TheSalvation Army St Vincent de Paul Society Animal Aid Have you at any point chip ped in? Do You Shop for Jobs Like You Shop for the Holidays -

Do You Shop for Jobs Like You Shop for the Holidays - Every year, I’m amazed by all the people who wait until a day or two before the holidays to begin their shopping.   While this approach would turn me into a nervous stressball, those who do it see no reason not to.   After all, they know that stores will be open as late as possible leading up to the holidaysâ€"so why not procrastinate? I often see people take this same approach when it comes to finding a new job.   They look around from time to time, and when they come across an interesting position, they’ll say, “I found a great job and I’m going to apply for it next week.”   The problem with this strategy is simple: You never know how long the “job store” is going to stay open! While most public sector jobs come with a specific close date attached to them, most private sector job postings are available only until the company finds enough qualified candidates.   In today’s competitive job market, many ads stay out for a week or less.   That’s why it’s imperative that you have your resume 95% ready to go before you find the job posting of your dreams.   You’ll still need to spend some time customizing your resume to match up with the keywords and qualifications specified by the company’s ad.   However, trying to write a quality resume from start to finish in time to submit it before the posting disappears is a big gamble. Some people are rock stars of last-minute holiday shopping, but others procrastinate until they find themselves buying whatever’s available just to say that they bought something.   Would you rather receive a thoughtful, personalized gift, or one that seems like more of an obligation?   The same strategy applies to job applications.   Don’t waste your opportunity to send a hiring manager a real giftâ€"a well-thought-out resume that shows him or her exactly how much you want that job!

The Transformation of the Sales Funnel

The Transformation of the Sales Funnel The Transformation of the Sales Funnel The Transformation of the Sales Funnel Belew, creator of The Art of Social Selling(Amacom, 2014) The business channel is dead quality written substance is the final deciding factor! This is the mantra currently spreading all through deals and marketingorganizations all over. In any case, while theres a lot of truth to this dispute, its just in part right. The conventional deals pipe is in no way, shape or form dead yet it is obsolete. The Traditional Sales Funnel In the customary model, the biggest number of leads (though unfit) enters at the wide top of the channel. As they are gotten through the direct deals process starting with one phase then onto the next, an ever increasing number of leads drop out en route until just a little bit really make it to the base, slender piece of the channel to become faithful clients. The conventional salesfunnel for the most part has four phases: - Starting at the top with the mindfulness stage (inadequate leads) - Then proceeding onward to the assessment stage (qualified possibility) - As possibilities settle on the choice to purchase, they enter the buy stage - They at that point become some portion of the dependability stage (as clients) It is essential to take note of that in the conventional pipe, the salesman controls or aides the lead through the business procedure, teaching and qualifying the possibility en route until the buying choice is at long last made. So what has truly changed about this procedure? For our motivations, the names of the stages will continue as before. In any case, the conduct encompassing those four phases is notably unique. A New Role for the Salesperson Maybe the greatest change is that exploration shows clients are presently 57 percent of the path through the business procedure before ever captivating with a sales rep as indicated by a 2012 CEB whitepaper. In some cases, depending on the item type and whether its B2B or B2C, possibilities could be as much as 90 percent through the purchasing procedure before reaching a salesman, as per 2012 discoveries from Forrester Ressearch. This is characteristic of the degree of buyer self-training that is happening, or rather, it shows how (and how much) data is being expended preceding a possibility reaching an organization agent. Keep in mind, your planned client presently approaches unlimited surges of marked and non-marked substance, research, and assessments from sites, long range interpersonal communication destinations, shared virtual discussions, and even contenders. These exceptionally taught customers presently enter the purchasing procedure a lot nearer to the base of that conventional deals channel as qualified possibilities prepared to buy, which carries us to the next critical change. The salespersonis no longer responsible for the purchasing procedure and not, at this point the watchman of the data that would regularly move the purchaser starting with one phase of the pipe then onto the next. Rather, your client characterizes the purchasing procedure. She might need to connect with you at an early stage, or she might not have any desire to converse with you at all before settling on her choice to purchase. Actually, the main time you may draw in with the possibility is during late-stage exercises, for example, giving item demos and value cites. Now, you might be one of a few organizations being considered by the purchaser, yet your capacity to impact the buying choice has since a long time ago went without your ever having had contact! The Upended Sales Funnel Hence, specialists state the customary deals channel has been eliminated. There is not, at this point a direct development from unfit lead (at the highest point of the channel) to steadfast client (at the base of the pipe). All things considered, there has not been an agreement with regards to what the new, online-driven deals channel should resemble. I have seen it outlined as a kind of French horn, a progression of circles, and as a neuron (as in a neuron or neurotransmitter from your cerebrum) with a focal center point and heaps of minimal limbs growing from it. Albeit a swap for the conventional channel is hard to imagine, specialists appear to concede to the accompanying changes to the purchasing procedure: - Buyers no longer rely upon sales reps to give data and instruct them on items or arrangements. - Buyers have broadened the quantity of spots they get data and the manner in which they expend it. - Buyers are entering the business procedure a lot later and salesmen have less chance to impact the buying choice. - Buyers have expanded the sort of and the recurrence of exercises they complete before drawing in with a sales rep. Purchasers are impacted by content preceding turning into a perceived lead in the business procedure. The last point is especially essential to comprehend. Content, whenever conveyed soon enough, frequently enough, and through the correct channels, despite everything gives deals and promoting the chance to draw in and impact forthcoming clients before they authoritatively enter your business cycle. Why Hiring Managers Screen Your Calls

Why Hiring Managers Screen Your Calls **Disclaimer: this post is probably an unfair mass generalisation of all hiring managers, based on one or two isolated and extremely annoying experiences.** Considering agency recruiters  have been  brought in to fill their urgent roles  as quick as  yesterday, hiring managers can make doing your job  particularly difficult at times. They cancel interviews last minute, go on leave without notice, erratically change their minds and feedback less  than an acoustic guitar. Most annoyingly, they screen your calls. You might get lucky with the odd email reply, but they just wont pick up their darn  phone. I guess its worth remembering  that hiring managers are normal  people who have day jobs to crack on with and bosses to answer to. They probably die inside when they hear their alarm clock in the morning. They have annoying colleagues, are  frustrated by unrealistic deadlines  and occasionally think about quitting just like the rest of us. Sure,  they  might  somehow inherit the hiring manager title by default, but it doesnt automatically mean they get what it will take  to  secure them new  talent. Is it only them with a major commitment issue? Perhaps not maybe theres something youre doing thats annoying them?  Instead of banging your head against the wall screamingWhat the hell?? when they bump your call, perhaps its worth hazarding a guess as to  why they dont want  to talk. Youre one of  a million Your mum and maybe even your boss will tell you youre one in a million,  but when it comes to  recruitment as a competitive industry, youre often one of a huge bunch. Their phone is constantly ringing off its hook (doesnt havent the same effect given cordless technology) and they just need to focus on their day jobs. HR is on their case Especially in large, heavily regulated organisations, the HR function is supposed to be the middle man between agencies and the business. That means keeping hiring managers and recruiters at arms length from each other. Fearful of losing their headcount or getting a slap on the wrist for giving away too much information, hiring managers will often refer all correspondence to HR to be on the safe side. Its likely  theyve been burnt before You keep asking the same thing For whatever reason, they think they know what youre calling about and dont want to deal with it.  It could be for a number of reasons, but  either they have the information you are looking for and cant/dont want to tell you, or they actually dont have an update for you and theyre sick of saying it. Theres only so many times they can say the same thing, even when youve got a candidate waiting on them to make a decision. You take too long to get to your point Hiring managers know that when you  get on the phone, you spend way too long going through the niceties and small talk,  delaying  asking the questions you really want to know the answer to. They know youre trying to be their friend, but not because you actually want to be their friend, but because being their friend will benefit  your business. They might just prefer to keep business as business. Theyre too busy They bump everyones calls,  not just yours. It might help your self esteem knowing they dont just hate you and only you,  but it doesnt make it any less frustrating. Some people just like working over emails. They  need to have  something  in writing in order to  drag  it into their to do folder before actioning it. You call at the wrong time Every time you call, theyre either running to a meeting, in a meeting or planning for one. Or theyre  on lunch, about to pack up for the day or busy responding to morning deadlines. Hiring managers do have full on jobs to do, and their calendars dont always stop for recruitment. Where to now? To overcome a hiring manager who bumps your calls, try using short, friendly and to-the-point emails. If that doesnt work, re-route through your HR contacts and keep trying its all you can do! Image: Shutterstock

How to think like the next generation

How to think like the next generation No one wants to seem old and outdated. The key to avoiding this is learning how to think like the next generation. So recognize what you care about that younger people dont care about. Not like a house and mortgage that stuff is dependent on what stage of life youre in. Im talking about things that are not dependent on stage of life  values and your outlook, which tend to be more generational. When it comes to Generation Z, the most jarring shift  is that theyll be obsessed with the bolstering of public institutions.  This is a generation that cares about consensus-building and sticking with the systems that bind us together. And in order to rebuild after crisis, the generation will stress conformity because noncomformity is a guilty-pleasure of a generation with no crises (like the Baby Boomers growing up in the 50s). Generation Z will focus on being part of the whole rather than differentiating themselves as special. Given what we know about Generation Z here are four things you can stop caring about. 1. Linguistics gymnastics for gender-specific pronouns. If you came of age in the seventies, you have an annoying tic of using the unexpected pronoun. For example, “If your child wants a Barbie, be sure to get him the latest one.” Generation X, being more aware of the debaucheries of feminist tyranny, are more easy-going about foisting Barbie dolls on girls, but still, Generation X will periodically throw in a they in annoying situations. For example, If a bully finds a willing victim, they will go after that victim. Generation Y has come up with nothing new, because theyre the non-innovative generation. Generation Z is saving us all from plural pronoun problems with yo, As in Hey, Yo, meet met at 10pm. The word yo means you dont have to specify if the group is male or female which would, of course, mean you would need to stress over the problem of calling women you guys. And this is just the beginning of the language of inclusiveness from a generation that will promote the greater good with every tool they have, even linguistics. 2. Whiz-bang technology. Generation Z is over the idea that we can get technology to do anything. The Pew Institute reports that theyll choose their devices based on battery life.  Its clear to me after watching four seasons of  Regular Show that Generation Zs appreciation for the over-the-top, very expensive, self-involved animation of Dreamworks and Electronic Arts is zero. And when I tried to explain why our BMW stereo is better than the iPhone, my son fired back to me, “it doesnt matter how good the stereo is, I can control the iPhone from the backseat.” When people come to our house to visit and ask what my kids do for homeschool all day, my kids show everyone Minecraft. You would think everyones first reaction would be, “You play video games all day?” But, in fact, their first reaction is, This is 1980s animation! And its true. But my kids dont care. So its becoming old-school to be impressed with new-fangled technologies. Generation X and Y use technology to differentiate themselves. Generation Z realizes that they have better things to do. So you might as well realize that too. 3) Retirement. ? The word retirement will be like the word typewriter.  The only difference is, there are still typewriters around that you can buy for $300, but by the time Generation Z comes around, there will be zero retirement funds. There will be nothing to reminisce about. The biggest reason for there being no retirement fund is that there is no money. Generation Z will look a lot like the people who gave all their money to War Bonds  self-sacrifice for the greater good will come naturally, so their lack of retirement wont bother them. But separately, and fortunately, there is also no need for retirement. We have a new understanding of what work is, and work is something that you do in tandem with your life, and they support each other intellectually and emotionally. Work is something you do to make your life full and engaging. Generation Z will change careers on average five times in their lives. They will drop out of the workforce twice to take care of family. And they will be more comfortable than any generation in history with a major ego-crushing salary cut. After all that, the difference between what Baby Boomers are calling retirement  and what Generation Y is calling work is nothing, so there will be no need to for retire in the future. 4) Shelf space.? If we did a graph of the importance of shelf space throughout the last hundred years, we would start with the Baby Boomers, who constructed McMansions  with disgustingly dated built-in shelves, and filled them with all of their possessions. Generation X would have wanted that, but they didnt have any money. So they rented out rooms and filled the shelves with books and CDs and DVDs. I had friends in small apartments who used to stack their trade paperbacks three deep, in the same way that people park cars three deep in NYC; You have to have a map to know how to find your stuff. Generation X is the only generation who had to store three types of media for music: records, cassettes, and CDs. (Side note: As an homage to this moment in shelf space history, Starbucks issued a CD called My Last Mix Tape. I looked at the barista and said Wow, this is the best title ever for a CD. And the barista looked back at me with a blank stare.) In the history of shelf space, Generation Y will be known as the itinerant generation. Raised to search endlessly for happiness, (“Do what you love! Live your best life! Follow your dreams!) Generation Y searches endlessly for something that doesnt exist, which means they tote all of their belongings around in something that ranges from a backpack to trunk space. When Generation Y finally does buy a house, its always small, because Generation Y needs to save their money to do fun things, so they can post the pictures on Facebook about how fun their lives are. Their small houses are decorated in shelf space-fetish-ization: wallpaper that has books, books that are color-coded, and turning things that used to consume shelf space into shelf space. Generation Z needs no shelf space. Everything is digital. And all of their expectations of owning a shelf large enough to put anything on have been squashed. Generation Z will be focused on accumulating patriotism, national spirit, and a badge of global citizenship. The new shelf space is in our hearts and minds.

Four Ways To Save Time Cleaning Your House

Four Ways To Save Time Cleaning Your House There are a few of us who actually enjoy cleaning house.   To them, I say Ive got fresh coffee and a mop ready for you, come on over! For most of us, though, house cleaning is a necessary evil.   We hate the crud more than we hate the cleaning. So why not do your cleaning as efficiently as possible?   Garnered from my own years of personal experience, heres four ways to save time cleaning. Use The Best Cleaner That doesnt mean the most expensive.   Nor does it mean the most popular.   Get the cleaning aids that are designed for the job, but dont rely on manufacturer claims or advertising.   Windex is the perfect example here. Windex is the number one window and glass cleaner in the U.S.   With no apologies to manufacturer S.C. Johnson, dont use Windex.   Almost all varieties contain ammonia, and ammonia leaves a film behind that is very soon quite visible. My personal favorite is Sprayway Glass Cleaner, which works great and actually smells good, too.   Or, just use a solution of vinegar and water. Filters Get Them and Use Them If your vacuum doesnt have a built in HEPA filter, its time to upgrade.   While the main part of the vacuum does catch and filter out a lot of material, the HEPA filter catches and filters out much more.   And then remember to change or clean the HEPA filter regularly, because its separate from the primary vacuum filter and is easy to overlook. And on the topic of filters, be sure to regularly change or clean your HVAC system filters.   If youre not following these two practices, it means all that dust is flying through the air, on its way to a safe landing on your furniture and floors.   And that means more cleaning. Use a Steam Mop I used to regularly use a floor cleaner product that was advertised to leave a shine after it cleaned your floor.   But what I noticed was that over time, whatever it was that was shining my floor was also building up.   Soap, dirt residue, and other chemical buildup is what makes your floor look darker and dingier the more times you clean.   Yes, read that again.   The more you clean the dirtier your floor gets. Some years ago, I was introduced to a steam mop.   Not being a fan of harsh chemicals anyway, I was impressed that it cleaned using only water.   And whats more, steam mops clean extremely well.   In fact, steam is the method of choice to clean grout, one of the most difficult cleaning chores. Cleaning House Made Easy While cleaning house may not be your favorite thing in the world, you can make it easier.   In addition to the above essentials, heres some quick tips to consider: Keep a squeegee in the shower.   Every time you shower, take 40 seconds and squeegee the walls and shower door.   The shower always looks clean and theres no more shower scum. Use strategically placed throw rugs.   They dont have to be the eye-assaulting ones your grandma used.   Todays version is part of the decor.   When soiled, simply toss in the washing machine instead of cleaning those carpet traffic uglies. Consider losing the shoes at the door.   You have no idea what youve stepped on and collected on your shoes throughout the day.   Why track all that into your house?   Besides, barefoot is beautiful! Keep a schedule.   Not everything has to be cleaned with the same frequency.   Keep a schedule or at least note the items that need attention only three or four times a year. Who said cleaning house has to be a dreaded chore?
